The offer
The Dad What’s For Dinner yearly plan at 50% off: R599.99 for your first year, instead of the standard R1,199.99. After the first year, your plan renews at the standard price of R1,199.99 a year unless you cancel.
The offer is only for the yearly plan. The monthly plan stays R149.99 a month.
Dad Whats for Dinner (Pty) Ltd (reg: 2025/616693/07) runs this offer. Our Terms of use also apply, in particular section 5 (subscriptions and payment). If these offer terms and the Terms of use differ, these offer terms apply to the offer.
When
You must subscribe between 00:00 on Tuesday 24 November 2026 and 23:59 on Monday 30 November 2026, South African time.
Who can get it
New subscribers, on the Apple App Store or Google Play in South Africa. The store decides whether you are eligible:
- App Store: you have not subscribed to, or had a free trial of, any Dad What’s For Dinner plan with your Apple Account before.
- Google Play: you have not had a Dad What’s For Dinner subscription with your Google account before.
If you are not eligible, the app shows the standard price instead. You can get the offer once.
How to get it
- Open the Dad What’s For Dinner app and tap any paid feature, such as the planner, to see the subscription screen.
- Choose the yearly plan. It shows R599.99 for the first year.
- Confirm the purchase with the App Store or Google Play. The price the store shows when you confirm is the one that applies.
Your subscription starts straight away, and the paid features unlock in the app as soon as the store confirms the purchase.
What else to know
- Payment: you pay R599.99 once, at the start, for the first year. The price is in rand and includes any VAT. Apple or Google bills you, as for any Dad What’s For Dinner subscription.
- No free trial with the offer: on the App Store, the yearly plan has no free trial while the offer runs. The monthly plan keeps its one-week free trial.
- Renewal: at the end of the first year, the store renews your plan at R1,199.99 a year. Between 40 and 80 business days before then, we will remind you of the renewal date and your options.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in your store account, as set out in section 5 of our Terms of use. Cancelling stops the renewal, and you keep access until the end of the year you have paid for.
- Refunds: Apple and Google handle refunds under their own refund policies.
- Other offers: the offer cannot be exchanged for cash, or combined with a free trial or another offer.
- Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the ECT Act.
